Tuna Bake and Spiders

Last night's dinner was a cheat. I was tired, stressed from studying, so I bought a tub of Tuna Bake Pasta Sauce, a 450 gram can of tuna in springwater and a packet of squirley noodles. It's really simple - just cook 2 cups of pasta, then drain. Pour pasta into oven-proof dish and add the can of tuna, also drained. Mash with a fork so the tuna breaks up. Then add the tub of tuna bake, stir, sprinkle some cheese on top and put in the oven at 180 degrees celcius for a fan-forced oven for 10-15 minutes.

I sometimes make this at home by using cheese sauce (the white sauce you find in lasagna). Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan, then add 2 tablespoons of plain flour, stir. Gradually add the milk in until it thickens. Be careful not to burn it. Once it's started to thicken, plop in (yes, that's what it sounds like, haha) about a cup of chopped cheese (or grated if you prefer). Stir that in, remove from heat and let it stand. Yum yum.

Here was last night's dinner:

Also, during the day when I was studying (and stressing) I decided to make a calm-down drink in the form of a Spider. Spiders are awesome - if you don't know what they are, you're missing out! Basically a simple Spider is a couple scoops of ice-cream in a cup, with fizzy drink poured over it. Then if you leave it for a bit, it will all sort of melt together and it tastes beautiful! If I don't let it melt together, I'm just drinking the gassy bubbles and that makes me feel ill. But if it melts together, it goes nice and creamy. Here are some pictures:

See? Evidence below that I was studying - theory notes and Spider!

My brother and I used to make spiders when we were kids. And root beer floats. Mmmm.

Before I started reading I was kinda hoping the spiders part of this post would be a scary arachnophobia-type encounter...you know, spiders creeping menacingly across the kitchen table, or drowning in cheese sauce. :)

tfp - Alas, no luck on the spider front. Maybe in the future. I know there's a big hairy one in the garage that Puddy likes to chase around, but I can't seem to catch (or kill) it.

The spider took me back to when they were popular. Yum yum. In fact, I think I shall have one now! :D
